Why take an immune health supplement?
Looking after your body’s immune defence is important all year round, not just throughout winter. The immune system is highly specialised and intricate, making it sensitive to
stresses such as poor sleep and poor diet. Taking an immune health supplement can provide your immune system with the nutrients that it needs to function properly, contributing to your daily health throughout the year.
How does it work?
Lifeplan’s Immune Complex has been formulated with selected vitamins and minerals, plus botanicals and freeze-dried manuka honey, to support immune health.
Each capsule provides 100% NRV (Nutrient Reference Value) of Vitamins A and C, as well as the minerals Selenium and Zinc, all of which contribute to the normal function of the immune system. The added 10µg of Vitamin D (200% NRV), also plays an important role in the normal function of the immune system.
The Department of Health and Social Care recommend children aged 1 and over and adults should consider taking a daily supplement containing 10 micrograms (µg) of Vitamin D, particularly during the autumn and winter months, when we are not able to spend much time outdoors and exposed to UV rays from sunlight.
Additional nutrients selected by our in-house nutritionists include Magnesium and Vitamin E to contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C and Magnesium also contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
