Fig & Walnut Brownies

Ingredients

  • 9 scoops CardiOat™ High Strength Oat Powder
  • 350g dates (soaked in boiling water for 10 minutes and drained)
  • 1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter
  • 65g cacao powder
  • 30g cacao nibs
  • 160g crushed walnuts
  • 4 figs (sliced)

Method

  1. In a food processor add drained dates and peanut butter. Blitz until a smooth paste is formed.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine CardiOat™ Powder, cacao powder, cacao nibs and crushed walnuts.
  3. Add the date paste to the mixing bowl and combine well. Use hands if need be.
  4. Empty mixture into a square baking tin and push the mixture down.
  5. Flatten and place in the fridge to firm up for 30 minutes, before topping with sliced figs and slicing into square.
  6. Store in fridge.
